Where is Vranjska Banja?
Vranjska Banja is a spa in South Serbia. It is located around 10 kilometers north of the nearby town Vranje, and around 50km north of the border with North Macedonia. You can visit it by car (take the Vranje exit at A1 highway), direct train connection or bus. The closest airports are in Niš and Skopje.

The water
There are several ferrous and sulphureous springs ranging in temperature from 60 to 95 degrees (even 110° when taken from the drill). Mineral water is used for therapeutic purposes in the Special Hospital for Rehabilitation Vranjska Banja for tourists staying in their accomodation as well as for daily visitors. It aids in the therapy of neuralgias, post-traumatic states, rheumatism, respiratory system diseases and other diseases.

The municipality of Vranjska Banja
Apart from the tourist centre and the park, where most of the tourist offers are, Vranjska Banja is a municipality with around ten thousand inhabitants. The photo shows this residential part of the spa, nested on the banks of the small river.

As the main hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment, you can choose to stay either in the Special Hospital for Rehabilitation in the middle of the park or with some of private accommodation providers nearby.
